Battlefront 3 Update Episode 30

Spark is making Lost Planet 3

A week of depressing/akward news took place as we've discovered that Spark Unlimited is NOT making Battlefront 3.

Despite this, I'm not give up hope, as there is still a bunch of news to still share with you all. Visit the forums to talk about it, and thanks to everyone that continues to support the search for Battlefront 3.

It's not the end of the road, it just means we need to look at all the facts again and see if we can narrow down our options. Hopefully we will get something from LucasArts soon.

Cheers,

Tuggie

Battlefront 3 Update 3/23/2012

Spring Break means more goodies

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I posted anything on the actual front page, but Spring break is finally here for me, so I'll be more active on the website and what not.

First off above was the update from 2 weeks ago, which had probably the best proof yet of Spark working with LucasArts. At the forums people have also deduced that the game cannot be Republic Commando or The Force Unleashed, you check out this link here. to see RogueStarKiller's collection of these findings.

Besides this you can expect a Battlefront update tomorrow, as there is more news to share, all positive I think. I am also thinking of having a Battlefront Party next week on Friday, where I'll live stream my commentary and anyone will be welcome to come.

Continue to keep the hope alive and may the force be with you all!

Cheers,

Tuggie

Star Wars Battlefront 3 Update Ep 26

IGN talks BF3 - Weird Picture

So in the last update I noted that there was a weird detail in one of the photos we saw. You can see in the last update the photo, but it's a pretty long shot assumption to make that it is a storm trooper.

Also IGN has finally taken note (by stealing from Playstation Lifestyle and stealing from BF3.net....yeah being kinda sarcastic), of Battlefront 3. You can view their article here.

I also mentioned Twinkey's new machinima in the post below, so make sure to check that out.

Remember the tweet for the twitter bomb is:

@Lucasartsgames We want #StarWars #Battlefront3 Make the game and we will buy it! http://www.petitiononline.com/SWBF3/petition.html www.battlefront3.net

Other than that, I want to say thank you to everyone for the support and helping build a great community. Hopefully we'll continue to grow and draw more attention to a game we've all wanted for a long time.

Cheers,

Twitter Bomb Week 2

More tweets and a new machinima!

Time to destroy LA twitter once again! Well, don't destroy it, but feel free to tweet to your hearts content this Saturday-Sunday. I wasn't very clear on the timing of the tweets, so feel free to tweet whenever you want on these days.

Although they haven't responded, all that matters is that we continue to hang in there and let LucasArts know we're still here. Thank you everyone who is helping out the community on Twitter and elsewhere. No battlefront update this week, but the forums has lots going on there, so check it out!

Twinkey from our Guild and forums is also starting a new Star Wars Battlefront Machinima! He is looking to produce entertainment for us all, with the help of fellow Gloom Walkers.

Visit this link here to find out info on the forums. Below is his trailer for the series.

Once again, I thank everyone for their efforts and support to bring back Battlefront and restore the fun we had a while ago. Until next time, I leave you with this suspicious photo that nightlord131 from youtube realized a Spark Employee's shirt looks suspiciously like a Storm Trooper.

Cheers,

Star Wars Battlefront 3 Update Episode 24

Lucas Arts Twitter Bomb

The time has come. Saturday, February 11th, we will unleash the fury of Battlefront fans with our darkside powers of...tweets.

Alright, alright it's not no the craziest thing we could do, but seriously, Lucas Arts has done just about everything it can to limit fans contacting them via email, phone, and other social media. We've bothered Spark enough for now, it's time to take our worries straight to the Publisher. Thanks to RogueStarKiller, he has devised a list of the importance and the method we will be following.

1. Sign the Battlefront 3 Petition If you haven't alread signed this, click here and sign the online petition.

2. Create a twitter account if you haven't already.

3. Send the tweet

@Lucasartsgames We want #StarWars #Battlefront3 Make the game and we will buy it! http://www.petitiononline.com/SWBF3/petition.html www.battlefront3.net

Also realize it was originally planned to send these the day before the Phantom Menace comes out on Friday, February 10th. However, I think this will give people more time to set up. However, Tweeting this before this time is definitely fine.

Thanks to all of you who continue to have hope for Battlefront 3. Lets get this game back soon! May the force be with you.

Star Wars Battlefront 3 Update Episode 23

Gamespy and more

Alright so there are a couple things to discuss. I missed some important things in my last update, includeing the pics that were discovered by blueboy_74 and the LucasArts twitter bomb. I will make a seperate article for the twitter bomb later next week, but the new video talks about generally what's going on.

Gamespy

This is something I've talked about before, but people seem to forget easily. Gamespy was the sole provider of the online experience and still is for Battlefront 1 and 2. Spark's new game uses the Gamespy service, and Jedi Knight nor any other Star Wars game that I know of has used this service. Because of this, it makes sense that the only logical game they could be making a sequel for would be one that has used these services, strengthening the argument for a new Battlefront game.

New pics of Spark's new game?

You can find the post in the forums here for blueboy74's find on some concept art that was posted by an artist at Spark. Personally I don't think it's from either game they're working on, simply because the whole company is under strict NDA to reveal any of their work. Rather, I think it's his own artwork that he's creating on his own time to share in his portfolio. The pictures are sci-fi, but don't look too Star Wars to me.

Game is passed or in Alpha state most likely

After a few tweets with Spark, it's apparent the game is passed the Alpha state in terms of the development cycle. Spark commented that the game is undergoing constant testing by a team, meaning that there is a build that is playable. This is good news in terms of the sooner we get to see the game, but this is usually where the most pain goes into development, in terms of regression testing goes. Simply put, their game is probably at the point or past the point that Free Radical's was when the footage for Battlefront 3 was filmed. This is all just a guess, only based on some loose information provided by Spark.

Don't give up hope

Seriously, the game hasn't even been revealed yet and some of us are giving up hope! Of course we all aren't, but based on how much we know from the information that is streaming to us, it looks more and more like a Star Wars game and more and more like Battlefront. I have confidence still the game is Battlefront, and remember, if you lost hope and need the facts again, always be sure to watch my Episode 2 video sequel to my original video.

So keep those chins up. Sooner or later we will get the game, and to me it's starting to look a lot sooner.

Mid-week Battlefront party

Servers hosted by Twinkey and new Partner!

First a quick announce that we are officially affliated now with Battlefront3.net for the website and my videos. They've been following Battlefront 3 longer than anyone else and are one of the greatest contributers to the Battlefront community!

For the party details are below, but a quick FYI for everyone, from now on I will leave the details in the forum because I won't be able to keep up with how many parties are planned. Go there to get details on parties and events from here on out.

Twinkey

Hello Guys I thought I would host a server On Tuesday January 3rd 2012 on 8:00 Mountian time.

The only special maps required are this one

First you need to download the Unofficial Battlefront II 1.3 patch

Then download the special map here

The rest will be original maps. I am taking requests for what maps(Original only) will be in the queue.

Maps Planned:
Republic Commando Extraction - Hard
Space Mygetto
Geonosis
Felucia
Space Kashyyyk
Mustafar

I will be recording a few matches so those who make it will be in a HD gameplay video on my channel. Hope to see some of you there! The tournament will be held on that Republic commando map and it is more of who can achieve the higher rank in droid kills. The other maps are just to kinda warm you up untill it rotates back to Republic commando extraction.

Ill be sure to award the winner with something special!

Thanks to Twinkey for doing this. He will have events like this in the future as well.

Game Informer a No-go

Revealed that the next issue of Game Informer will not feature Battlfront 3

Not really a hug surprise, but seems like the next cover of GI will not feature Battlefront and Spark as the developer. When asked on twitter, the chief editor openly stated it was not Battlefront 3, and told us to keep guessing.

Andy McNamara Twitter

I'm guessing a lot of people are pretty disapointed, but a more realistic time slot to reveal the game will most likely come mid-year as noted by Spark. With the Old Republic being very successful, I imagine that means we'll get a chance to see what Spark is up to sooner.

In any case though, hang in there everyone, and keep your hopes alive!

Star Wars gaming - New Years Party

December 12/31/2011 : 8:00 pm Mountain Standard Time

Our Next Star Wars Gaming party is here! This time we will be playing 2 different games, from 8:00 pm and on Saturday, December 12/31/2011. Check the timer below for when it starts.

We Will play the following games in this order

1. Star Wars: Battlefront II

We'll play about 1 to 2 hours.

2. Star Wars: The Old Republic

We'll be playing PvP for about an hour, then after that anything can happen!

The servers are chosen at the beginning of the party, we have no official servers we play on. We usually just browse and decide for ourselves which seems to be the best one.

The best way to find out of the server is to join the Gloom Walkers Chat room in steam. You're free to chat on your mic, but it's mostly for us relocate everyone to the right server.

See you in Battlefront!

More Game Informer!

Game Informer once again talks about Battlefront 3!

Seriously, how can't this be a hint? Several months ago, Game Informer had an article dedicated to what they wanted to see in the next Star Wars Battlefront. The link for that article is below:

Star Wars: Battlefront III Wish List

This article was highly popular by the GI audience, over 52,000 views, and over 240 comments. Then, just recently Game Informer hinted that they'd be announcing a game by a developer that would be a surprise:

Game Informer reveal

Now at the end of December 2011, we get this article from GI:

Game Informer "Rumor"

Of course I will be talking about this in the next Battlefront update, but isn't strange that after this information has been around so long that the only Game Journalist site that has seemed to have interest is Game Informer? The article itself only refers to Spark's twitter, not really talking about the descriptions at Spark's website. It could be that our community that has been revived recently has caused a stir that can't go unnoticed anymore. People are starting to pay attention to LucasArts possibly finally coming out with the game.

In any case though, I'll have more information in my next video, so stay tuned until then!
